Sustainable packaging brands and new innovations at IFE Manufacturing 2024
IFE Manufacturing, part of Food, Drink & Hospitality Week, returns to ExCeL London on 25-27 March with more than 20 innovative packaging brands for food & drink on display and a seminar programme shining a light on the latest innovation in food development.
Among the suppliers taking part in this year’s event are Magnum Packaging, who will be showcasing rectangular kraft deli containers, a green addition to the range and perfect for hospitality buyers eager to meet compostable, biodegradable and recyclable guidelines.
Available in four sizes and manufactured from sustainable natural PE lined kraft board, the containers also come with various lid options.
Hassan Younis, Director of Purchasing for Magnum Packaging, comments: “Magnum Packaging (NE) Ltd acknowledges the potential negative impact that business can have on the environment. We are dedicated to actively seeking and implementing sustainability measures to minimise our environmental footprint. In view of this, we aim to achieve the goal of being Carbon Neutral by 2025.”
Meanwhile, MM Packaging will be introducing a new addition to its range – Alaska Barrier Grease. A more sustainable alternative to PE coating, this new product is ideal for fast food and bakery packaging products.
MM Packaging will also be showcasing its GreenPeel Tray at IFE Manufacturing, a sustainable packaging solution which can reduce plastic by up to 90% and can replace PP, PE and CPET trays.
International glass bottle manufacturer Croxons will be bringing its new 700ml, 450g right-weighted SOLO bottle to IFE Manufacturing.
The company explains: “SOLO begins a new future as an innovative model that revisits the essential codes of the best-selling OSLO, while offering itself as an even more extraordinary character design!
“Sensible in form, SOLO, like its predecessor, draws inspiration from old apothecary bottles, while incorporating the notion of a sustainable way of life. Weighing in at an incredibly light 450 grams, SOLO is a symbol of efficiency and practicality.
On the show’s Trends & Innovation Platform, speakers from WRAP, TerraCycle Europe, GoUnpackaged and Abel & Cole will be discussing how the industry can bring reuse to the masses, plus, Kantar’s Natalie Babbage will be taking to the stage to discuss what 'sprouting' trends and new truths are shaping today's eco-conscious consumers, what their thoughts are on waste, and what their expectations are of brands and the government for 2024 and beyond.
IFE Manufacturing takes place alongside IFE, The Pub Show, HRC and International Salon Culinaire as part of Food, Drink & Hospitality Week. Find out more at ifemanufacturing.co.uk.
